Coffeehouse 2014

While the weather outside was raging, students at the Ridge got to enjoy a memorable evening inside the school at the annual Coffeehouse, organized by the Eco-schools and Student Voice teams.

The evening included performances by some incredibly talented students, comfy seats straight from the StudCo room, and free food (sponsored by Cobs Bread and Starbucks)!!! Admission was only $5 and all proceeds went to Make a Wish Foundation and the Kawartha Turtle Trauma Center. The musical performances were amazing, ranging from vocalists, solo, duets, and group, as well as guitarists and pianists. The Ridge has a variety of talent and Wednesday night truly showcased it. Many of the performers received an enthusiastic applause and more than one group was requested to treat the audience with an encore. Audience members were able to enjoy the show from the leisure of their seats, while enjoying a whole lot of scones. .

All in all, it was a wonderful night. If you missed it, be sure to come next year. The food was amazing, the performances were outstanding, and all proceeds go towards two very good causes. It was truly a memorable night and one that I will be sure to attend next year and the year after.
