Not every episode is like this, I promise |

Creepy right? |
I'm going to start this article by saying that Gravity Falls, if you don't know already, is awesome, and yes, you can say it's childish, but I know for a fact that several members of Ridge Report still read Percy Jackson (I admit read it too), so don't get me started. Gravity falls is about the exploits of Dipper and Mabel Pines, twins who have been sent to stay with their Grunkle (great uncle) Stan who lives in a small town somewhere in Oregon. Stan is the he owner of the Mystery Shack, a tourist trap filled with corny "mysterious" attractions, the punchline is that shack is in Gravity Falls, a town filled with gnomes, lake monsters, living golf-balls,and other mysterious creatures like whatever this thing is...

(Did you know we could add gifs, so cool) So why's Gravity Falls so great, well first of the characters are a riot, You have Dipper, an awkward 12 year old boy with a pine tree hat and strong sense of adventure. Dipper's smart, compassionate, self conscious and witty, sparking off the series by finding a journal that opens his eyes to the crazy stuff going on around him, propelling the story forward with the mysteries of the author, the origin of the weirdness, and the ever present threat of said weirdness.

At this point I'm just showing the weird parts |
Mabel Pines is not like Dipper, she is kooky, loving, optimistic, and down right hilarious with an infectious sense of fun. She wears ever changing sweaters and adds so much energy into the dialogue and story, though far from being the only wacky character, for everyone in the town is a tad strange.

Stan is not what he seems |
You have Grunkle Stan, a con artist who's two great loves are his family and scamming the living daylights out of tourists, Wendy the rebellious teenager with serious lumber-jacking skills (yes, lumber-jacking), and Soos, the loyal and immature handyman, as well as a whole host of other characters.

A kid's show, for families :D |
So aside from great characters, what's Gravity Falls offering? The show has a great mystery, and unlike other shows where the answer is obvious and dull, I find myself determined to tune in to see the next episode (tune in of course means watch on the internet cause my TV's stupid). The show is filled with hidden messages that you can only decode by playing it backwards, deciphering using ciphers, etc, but this show is clearly not just for kids, it gets dark sometimes, like people being killed and turned into...well...I don't want to give it away.
The story is crazy and unpredictable, yet all taking place within the same summer, it's a roller-coaster ride that actually has a surprising amount of drama (The series has the best finale's), and of course, mystery. The animation is beautiful, the location of Gravity falls is wonderful, and the story is really thought out, with Easter Eggs for as far as the third season existing in the first season.

"Knock knock" |
Gravity Falls is great, but what's most surprising is that it's a Disney Show, I mean look at what's being produced by them, almost all are cookie cutter sitcoms, but Gravity Falls is different, it's wacky and wild, dramatic and daring, and honestly, really enjoyable, and with the new episode coming out today, you can bet I'll be freaking out tomorrow with other Gravity Falls fans. If I were you I'd check it out
Think what you will
