October marked the beginning one of the first of the school’s big events, Fall Fest. Despite the rainy weather outside and the low temperatures, clubs and vendors lined “the street” while students, parents, teachers and members of the community of Oakville wandered around eating corn and sweets, listening to performers, and catching up with friends. Since the first season aired on October fifth, 2011, American Horror story has become one of the most popular shows on FX. TIFF 2015: Interview with Ms. Morton

Every year, thousands of fans around the world gather in Toronto for what may be the most prestigious film event in the city: the Toronto International Film Festival. Held annually every September, TIFF offers screenings, lectures, discussions, workshops. Tiff is especially known for the celebrity buzz, including exclusive photos and interviews with the stars.

This year, the TIFF went on from September 10th to the 20th with appearances by stars such as Julianne Moore, Ryan Reynolds, Rachel McAdams and Johnny Depp.

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the TIFF, I decided to interview Iroquois Ridge’s own Ms. Morton, who shared her experience at the festival with me.

As October begins, so does the Pink Campaign, the Ridge’s yearly immersion in Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This annual explosion of pink is eagerly awaited by everyone at IRHS. The school store has begun to sell their pink merchandise, pink lights frame the school entrance, and the trees in the street are decorated with pink ribbons.
