As Mia and I circulated the Ridge, we noticed that grey is an extremely popular colour amongst most Trailblazers. Grey is one of those colours that people associate with a feeling; sad. As amazing as you all look in these different shades of grey we’re hoping it isn't a cry for help and everybody is feeling bangarang. OSLC 2016 - The League of Extraordinary Leaders

IRHS attendance at the Ontario Student Leadership Conference (OSLC) is a well-established annual tradition at this point. Each year, select students from all grades are sent together as a team of delegates to represent The Ridge at the conference and bring back valuable leadership lessons that can be applied at our school.

Music Madness Preview

Does anybody reading love music, want to learn how to play a new instrument or listen to some great performances? If so, music madness is the right place for you! There will be opportunities for an open mic, and apparently there will be ways to learn how to play an instrument. Even if you don’t absolutely love music, you should still go! It can never hurt to learn a new skill. Music madness is on in the studio theatre every lunch this week!

U.S. Election

So the US election is finally happening tomorrow. We’ve been hearing about it all year, and we’re all probably kind of tired of it. This election cycle has been a nasty one, and it’ll be nice to have it finally end. But it’s not over yet, and there are still a few things that we all need to deal with.

Clown Craze Creeps into Canada...

It is believed that the surge of clowns wielding weapons originated in the United States of America has now entered Canada. The “creepy” clown sightings that everybody on social media has seen, has spread across more than 20 states of U.S.A, and recently into Canada, leading to arrests, school warnings, and police investigation.

Cabaret Night

On October 19, musicians and music-lovers alike gathered in IRHS cafeteria for our first major music event of the year- Cabaret Night. Our school’s bands and music classes, not to mention individual performers from the student body, have been preparing for a long time for this event, and their practice really paid off.

We Day

As some people might know, We Day is an event hosted by the charity “Me To We” in major cities in three countries to inspire young leaders from across the world. This year, We Day Toronto was on Wednesday October 19, and I had the privilege of attending to learn valuable leadership lessons
